FOR FOUR DAYS LINDA MEYERS AND THE GOOD PEOPLE FROM ADOPT A NATIVE ELDER, WILL BRING YOU BEAUTIFUL TAPESTRIES AND THE NAVAJO WEAVERS WHO PRODUCE THEM
Over the last 400 years the Navajo People created one of the great shepherding cultures of the world in the American Southwest. Their flocks of "Churro," sheep were once described as being endless and their textiles continue to be prized works of art. Among our most popular events is our Annual Navajo Rug Show put on by Park City's Adopt-a-Native Elder Organization. This show features a huge selection of authentic Navajo rugs, textiles and jewelry and will also feature Navajo weaving demonstrations. 100% of all proceeds from this show go directly to the weavers who created them.

Adopt a Native Elder supports the traditional Elders who live in the cultural and spiritual traditions of the Dine People.  Most live in remote portions of the Navajo Reservation.  Many live in traditional hogans, raising some sheep as a means of maintaining themselvex.  The Program provides food, simple medications, clothing, fabric and yarns to these Elders live on the land in their traditional lifestyle.  For additional information please go to

We will also be featuring Navajo Food and Navajo Churro Sheep in our livestock displays.
