Visit the Soldier Hollow Classic once and it's easy to see why Britain's International Sheepdog News called Soldier Hollow "...the foremost trial in the world..." Going into it's sixth year it has seen champions compete from fifteen countries representing the best of six continents. These competitors have come to test their own skills and those of their dogs on the Olympic hillside at Soldier Hollow. You will see a competition that one writer called "strangely compelling," and another called "poetic." You have to be there to understand the drama that brings thousands to their feet.
The fun just begins with the sheepdog championship! Your family will also love the new Splash Dogs Championship held at Soldier Hollow's Olympic Lodge. You'll see high flying dogs of all breeds jumping for great distance into a cool 40 foot pool. Our IFA Country Traditions Courtyard features Duck Herding, a Navajo Rug Show, Arts and Crafts, Interactive Animal Displays by Wild Things and the Ultimate Canines Acrobatic Dog Show (a favorite with kids of all ages). Entries for Splash Dogs and Duck Herding are still being accepted.
Finally plan on enjoying some of the great food featured at the Soldier Hollow Classic. The Utah Wool Growers International Food Court features great enthic food which starts with lean, tender American Lamb, and also include great beef and poultry entrees.
