Soldier Hollow, the 2002 Olympic Venue for Biathlon and Cross Country competition is celebrating its heritage by offering a unique experience to spectators at the 2011 Soldier Hollow Classic. Everyone ages six and up can try their hands at Soldier Hollow's Biathlon Range shooting authentic $2500 German air rifles. These are the same air rifles used in the 2002 Paralympic Games. After receiving professional instruction and practice, those hitting all five targets will receive a 2011-12 day ski pass and a certificate good for a day ski rental package (a $35.00 value). Those winners under 12 will also receive an authentic Soldier Hollow Championship Ski Bib.
Cost to participate is $5.00 per person and no individual can win more than one prize package. Be sure to try it out! Located in the Biathlon Range, which adjoins the Soldier Hollow Classic grounds.
The Biathlon is part of the IFA Country Festival. For more Festival Fun check out the column on the left!
